The six plans

Lume offers six plans: Free, Pro, Growth, Agency, Scale, and Custom. Free lets you try the core tools on a single site with modest limits. Pro and Growth are the working tiers for an individual or a growing in-house team, raising every limit and unlocking the higher-value features. Agency adds the headroom and feature set that consultancies managing many client sites need, and Scale extends that further for large agencies and in-house teams running dozens of sites. Custom is for organizations whose volume or requirements fall outside the standard tiers — pricing and limits are negotiated directly.

You can compare the tiers and start an upgrade from the /plans page at any time. Moving up takes effect immediately, so the higher limits and unlocked features are available the moment your upgrade is confirmed.

How usage is measured: two meters

Rather than charging per click, Lume governs usage with two simple meters: a standing cap on tracked keywords, and a monthly pool of usage units. Every on-demand run — AI generation included — draws from the same unit pool, so there is no separate AI quota to keep track of.

• Tracked keywords — the number of keywords whose rankings Lume monitors for you on a recurring basis. This is your standing footprint, not a per-check cost.
• Usage units — a monthly fair-use pool for the heavier, on-demand work: site audits, deep AI analyses, content briefs, research tools, and AI-visibility checks. Every run, AI included, draws from this one pool. "Fair use" means it's sized for normal usage, not metered to the click — you only feel it if you run far more than a typical user on your tier.

Saved-site limit and feature gates

Beyond the two meters, your plan also caps how many sites (projects) you can save at once. Free is built around a single site; the paid tiers raise this so agencies can keep many client sites side by side. If you hit the limit, remove an old site or upgrade to add more room.

Some capabilities are gated to higher tiers rather than metered. These are the features where the value — and the cost to run them — scales with the seriousness of your plan:

• Competitor AI benchmark — compare your brand's AI visibility head-to-head against named competitors.
• Share-of-voice — see what slice of the visible results across your topic you actually own, not just individual rankings.
• History — extended retention of rank and audit data so you can chart trends over longer windows.
• Public API unlock — programmatic, read-only access to your data on the higher tiers (see Developers below).

Paying and managing your subscription (Stripe)

Billing runs entirely on Stripe, so your card details are handled by Stripe and never stored by Lume. To start a paid plan, choose a tier on /plans and complete Stripe Checkout — a secure hosted page where you enter your payment method. Once payment succeeds, your account is upgraded automatically.

After you subscribe, manage everything from the Stripe Customer Portal, which you open from your /account page. There you can update the card on file, switch your plan, view and download past invoices, or cancel. Cancelling stops the renewal and keeps your plan active until the end of the period you already paid for.

Each paid tier can be billed monthly or annually. Annual billing is paid up front for the year; monthly billing renews each month. You can switch between the two from the portal at your next renewal.

Your data: export or delete

Your account is yours. From the /account page you can export everything Lume holds for you — your sites, tracked keywords, saved prompts, and stored results — so you always have a copy to take with you or archive.

The same page lets you permanently delete your account. Deletion is irreversible: it removes your data from Lume and cannot be undone, so export first if you want to keep a copy. If you only want to stop being charged, cancel from the Customer Portal instead of deleting — you keep access until the period ends.

Developers and notifications

If your plan unlocks the public API, you can create API tokens from your account and call the read-only public API at /api/v1 to pull your own data into scripts, dashboards, or reports. Treat each token like a password: it carries your access, so store it securely and revoke any token you no longer use. The same developer area covers IndexNow, which lets you ping search engines the moment a page changes so they recrawl it sooner.

For staying informed, Lume sends notifications by email and can also post to optional Slack or Discord webhooks. Wire up a webhook and your team gets rank movements and audit alerts in the channel they already watch — no need to log in to catch a change. Email always works out of the box; the webhooks are there when you want alerts where your team already lives.
