Rank tracking
Track your live Google organic positions from 100,000+ locations — any city, region or country — on desktop and mobile, watch the trend over time, see who holds each SERP, and cross-check the numbers against your real Search Console data.
What rank tracking does
Rank tracking scrapes Google organic results live and reports exactly where your pages sit for the keywords you care about. Every check is a fresh query against the live SERP, not a cached estimate, so the position you see is the position a searcher would see right now.
Because results differ by where the searcher is, what device they use, and how deep you look, every tracked keyword carries those three settings. Change them and you are effectively standing in a different searcher's shoes.
Location, device and depth
You can track from any of 100,000+ locations worldwide — down to city level — so a keyword that ranks #3 in Tokyo and #12 in Fukuoka shows up as two honest, separate numbers instead of a blurred national average. Toggle desktop versus mobile to see how the same query reorders on each, and set the scan depth to the top 20, 50, or 100 results depending on how far down you need to follow a page.
- Locations: search any city, region, or country — 100,000+ geos worldwide (Tokyo, Osaka, New York, London, a Paris arrondissement…).
- Device: switch between desktop and mobile results.
- Depth: scan the top 20, 50, or 100 organic positions.
Reading the rank trend
Every keyword keeps a rolling rank history (30 days to 2 years depending on your plan), plotted as a trend chart so you can tell a real move from day-to-day SERP noise. A steady climb over several weeks is a signal worth acting on; a single-day dip that recovers usually is not.
Read the chart together with the location and device that produced it. A drop on mobile in one city while desktop holds steady points at a very different cause than a sitewide slide across every location at once.
Who holds the SERP
For each keyword you get a competitor leaderboard: the pages that currently outrank you, in order, with sample titles and snippets pulled from the live results. This turns an abstract position number into a concrete list of pages to study and beat.
Use the titles and snippets to see what angle and intent Google is currently rewarding for that query, then shape your own page to serve that intent more completely.
Cross-check with Search Console
Scraped live ranks are powerful but they are one snapshot from one simulated searcher. To keep you honest, rank tracking overlays your real Google Search Console data side by side: your actual average position, impressions, clicks, and CTR for the same keyword.
When the live rank and the GSC average position roughly agree, you can trust the tracked number. When they diverge, that gap is itself a finding worth investigating.
- Close agreement: the live scrape is reliable for this keyword.
- Live rank far better than GSC average: you may rank high in one tracked location but not where most of your real traffic searches.
- Strong impressions but low CTR: you rank but the title or snippet is not earning the click — a content, not a ranking, fix.
Daily rescans and alerts
Once a keyword is tracked, it is rescanned automatically every day — on every plan — so the history keeps filling in without you remembering to run anything. You can still trigger a manual recheck any time you want a fresh reading — for example, right after you publish a change.
Alerts flag the moves that matter so a meaningful gain or loss reaches you without your having to stare at every chart. Treat an alert as a prompt to open the keyword, read its trend, and check the SERP and GSC overlay before you decide what to do.
